PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide academic support for K-8th grade students in all subjects with a concentration in Reading. The provided support will allow remediation opportunities based on small group student intervention plans. Assist with preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Candidates who are successful in this role should be able to build confidence, relationships, and encourage progress for students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- 48 College hours or Associate Degree; OR
- ESC 5 Paraprofessional Aide Certification
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general duplicating equipment
- Some experience working with children, preferred
- Copier, personal computer, typewriter, and audiovisual equipment

- Exposure to childhood communicable diseases; good general health and stamina needed
The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49. 00 will be charged for fingerprinting.
