Job Description for a Hospitalist position at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Responsibilities- 385 hospital beds
- Level III Trauma Center
- No procedures required
- Closed ICU
- EMR:
Epic - Coverage Model
- Day: 6 Physicians (7a-7p) + 1 NPPA (7a-7p)
- Night: 1 Physician (7p-7a) + 1 NPPA (7p-7a)
- Admissions are handled in round robin among the daytime hospitalists and swing shift NP. No dedicated admitter.
- Dermatology, Rheumatology, endocrinology are not available; partial coverage for ophthalmology
- ICU team runs codes
- Hospitalist cover for rapid response along with rapid response team and critical care nursing
- NP works along with hospitalist and nocturnist to assist with admissions
- Required 4 hours of stroke CME
- Day and Night hospitalist positions available
