Position: All Saints Episcopal School Club Counselor (Grades PK–8)

Reports To: Director of Auxiliary Programs

Employment Type: Part-Time

Hours: Typically 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (flexible depending on school schedule)

Position Summary:

The After-School Care Counselor is responsible for supervising and engaging students in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment during after‑school hours. The counselor will plan and facilitate age‑appropriate activities, provide homework help, and support positive behavior management for students in Pre‑K through 8th grade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well‑being of students at all times.
  • Create and implement engaging, age‑appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, enrichment, and outdoor play.
  • Support students with homework and provide academic assistance when needed.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Monitor attendance and ensure accurate daily check‑in/check‑out procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and shared spaces.
  • Follow all school and program policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.
  • Provide support for special events or extended care days as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about working with children of various ages and backgrounds.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Must pass background checks and meet state/local licensing requirements.
