Position Overview
The Medical Director will lead and support a high-performing team at a full-service small animal hospital in Beaumont, California. This role combines clinical responsibilities with leadership to advance patient care, quality, and team collaboration.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to associate veterinarians and veterinary staff
- Deliver high-quality medical care including wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and preventative services
- Oversee implementation of medical protocols, ensure compliance, and drive quality improvement
- Perform surgeries, dental procedures, and advanced diagnostics as needed
- Partner with hospital administration on strategic goals, staffing, and operational performance
- Foster a team-focused, inclusive culture that encourages growth, learning, and collaboration
- Maintain a flexible, sustainable work schedule that supports work-life balance
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid California veterinary license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
- Strong surgical skills preferred
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience a plus
- A passion for building a strong team culture and delivering outstanding care
