ADay in This Role
You arrive on the floor with a mission: safe, stable, high‑quality output. You bring injection‑molding presses up from cold start, verify parameters, and confirm auxiliary and secondary equipment are ready. As production runs, you tune processes to hit optimum cycle times and act fast when anomalies appear. You document every key setting—process changes, water diagrams, and details that streamline future setups—so the next run starts faster and smarter.
WhatYou'll Do
- Set up and start up injection molding presses, plus all auxiliary and secondary production equipment—with safety and quality as the top priorities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly to protect uptime and part quality.
- Keep machines running at optimal cycles; adjust processes to boost efficiency and consistency.
- Record process parameters, changes, and water diagrams to aid future setups and repeatable performance.
- Complete visual and dimensional inspections on time; immediately correct nonconformances or equipment malfunctions and notify Quality of any nonconformance.
- Continuously promote process adjustments that enhance efficiency and product quality.
- At least five (5) years of hands‑on experience in injection molding or as a Process Technician.
- Solid knowledge of plastics and resins, including PVC.
- Understanding of injection molds and their operation.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary technical training or certification preferred.
