As the Regional BCBA
, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students across Spectrum School locations by providing tailored clinical and educational interventions designed to meet each learner’s unique needs. You’ll lead with expertise, guiding and mentoring your team through hands-on training and professional development, while evaluating and elevating performance. As our primary advocate for quality assurance, you’ll ensure programs comply with applicable laws and regulations and reflect best practices and internal standards, fostering an environment where students thrive.

This position works under the direction of the Regional VP, Operations and onsite Program Directors to enhance academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes through evidence-based interventions in collaboration with on-site campus staff within the assigned area.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing guidance to teachers and educational staff in designing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services to ensure exceptional outcomes.
  • Support Spectrum staff by modeling and reinforcing instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with IEP goals.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions using scientifically validated behavioral and educational strategies to promote positive outcomes across academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning.
  • Provide crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting challenging behaviors and develop strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing.
  • Collaborate with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality checks for each campus within the region and make data-driven improvement recommendations.
  • Support the development of on-site teams through training on behavioral assessment, intervention, PBIS, data collection, crisis management, and related topics.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to staff pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA) as agreed with leadership.
  • Assist in developing and implementing improvement plans for campuses to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss behavioral needs and inform comprehensive support strategies.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Department of Education regulations and internal standards for educational and behavioral services within the assigned area.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities.
  • Provide operational support to all schools in the assigned area, focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education, or a closely related field.
  • Licensed or in the process of obtaining BCBA credential.
  • License in education specialist or special education instruction preferred.
