Under the general direction of the Director of TK-12 Programs, the Math Specialist works with administrators, classroom and intervention teachers, special educators, and other District staff to implement quality instruction supporting the District‑adopted mathematics programs for all students, especially those who may need additional assistance with math achievement.
Requirements / QualificationsIn‑District teachers will have first priority.
- Master’s degree in mathematics, education or related field from an accredited university (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education or related field from an accredited university.
- Clear California Teaching Single Subject Credential in mathematics for K‑12 settings.
- Three (3) years of teaching experience.
- Two (2) years of a leadership role in professional learning (preferred).
- Copy of transcript.
- Credential copy (Single Subject Math credential. Detailed version of credential must have document number and expiration date).
- English Learner Authorization (If EL authorization is embedded, please attach credential twice).
- Letter of introduction.
- Letters of recommendation (3).
- Resume.
Maximum number of years of teaching experience while holding a valid teaching credential outside the Beaumont Unified School District granted is fifteen (15) years. Salary placement with fifteen (15) or more years is step 16. If you have any questions, please email the contact person.
