Overview
Established law firm in Beaufort, SC seeking associate with 2-5 years of experience, to litigate and try MVAs, premises cases, and WC cases. From initial meeting with client, through settlement or trial. Will handle files individually and with senior partner. Must have strong writing/drafting skills and be able to hit the ground running.
Time period of employment: full time, ongoing
ResponsibilitiesFrom initial client meeting through settlement or trial; handle files both independently and with senior partner. Prepare and present motions, briefs, and other pleadings; communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel; manage case timelines and discovery; maintain meticulous file records.
Hiring criteria / Qualifications- Prefer 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation and/or WC. Strong legal writing skills mandatory. Must have the ability and experience to handle files from beginning to end. Competitive pay and benefits packages individually tailored to meet candidate’s experience and skill level, and competitive. Would much prefer that candidate live in the greater Beaufort area.
