Housekeeper/Nutrition Site Manager - Department of Social Services QualificationsThe duties of this position are broad and include contact with staff members, clients, vendors, and other professionals. General knowledge of effective housekeeping practices and ability to practice effective communication techniques both orally and in writing; ability to work with others, ability to handle a variety of work duties, ability to read, interpret and apply written instructions. Ability to relate to clients served by our agency.
General knowledge of minor maintenance. Skill in organizing workflow and coordinating activities. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and practices; safety precautions related to cleaning equipment and supplies used including ability to read cleaning product labels, mix and work with cleaning solutions in proper proportions. Ability to perform duties which may involve standing, bending and kneeling for periods of time; climbing stairs.
Ability to follow instructions; operate commercial cleaning equipment;
Heavy physical effort required– This position exerts in excess 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Education and/or experience in nutritional or food service work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Employee must obtain Servsafe certification within six months of the hire date.
