We are pleased to be working with a welcoming and supportive school near Beaminster who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil with special educational needs
. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child at a key stage of their educational journey, helping them build confidence, independence and readiness for transition.
The school offers a nurturing and inclusive environment, where staff work closely together to ensure every child feels supported and valued.
The Role:- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with SEN
- Support learning across the curriculum, adapting activities to meet individual needs
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Help develop independence and confidence, particularly in preparation for secondary transition
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable, not essential)
- Be patient, calm and nurturing in their approach
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be reliable, committed and proactive
- Be passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
