Role Summary

This is a newly created role for a growing business in the hospitality sector. The Finance Manager will take ownership of end to end financial management and reporting. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports and consolidations, managing core finance operations, and leading a small transactional finance team of 2.

The Finance Manager will act as a key point of contact for financial queries across the business and for shareholders, while also supporting audit, cashflow management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver end-to-end financial reporting, including weekly, monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Prepare and review Group consolidations, ensuring accuracy and consistency across entities.
  • Provide clear financial analysis, commentary and insights to support decision making.
  • Respond to financial reporting queries from the business and shareholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the Group Payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring strong controls, timely processing and accurate records.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of supplier accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled on a regular basis.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and documentation to support audit and governance requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly Cap Ex reporting, including tracking against budgets and approvals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and transformational change across the finance function.
Requirements
  • Newly Qualified or Qualified by Experience.
  • Significant experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within a multi-entity or Group environment.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Hands on experience managing staff.
  • Experience working closely with banks and external financial partners.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and consolidation tools.
  • Commercially minded with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Collaborative team player with the confidence to challenge and improve existing ways of working.
