. We are seeking an enthusiastic, member‑focused team member who thrives in a welcoming, hospitality‑driven environment and is committed to delivering superior service to our members and guests.
Beechmont is a private country club located on the eastside of Cleveland, Ohio offering members a historic Stanley Thompson designed golf course, numerous dining options, indoor and outdoor racquet facilities, and modern pool and fitness facilities. The seasonal Assistant Golf Professional is a traditional role where experience in golf instruction, tournament operations, merchandising, and day-to-day operations is required. The assistant professional will work alongside the head professional and merchandise manager as a team to provide members and guests a first-class golfing experience.
ExperienceRequired
- At least 2 years of experience at a private club preferred but not required.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience running/assisting member tournaments.
- Ability to communicate with members about various aspects of golf.
- Work with the current team to provide an outstanding golf experience for every member and guest who visits Beechmont.
- Assist in organizing and overseeing golf tournaments, events, and outings, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional experiences for all participants.
- Assist in managing tee times, golf shop sales, running weekly and multi-day major events.
- Responsible for providing professional golf instruction for all groups and levels of players. This is to include private lessons, clinics, playing lessons, junior golf camps and PGA Junior League Golf.
- Assist in maintaining the golf shop appearance, ensuring merchandise displays are appealing and inventory is well-stocked.
- Passionate about the golf business and have a strong background in providing exceptional customer service.
- Devoted to playing golf with members.
- Support the Head Golf Professional in administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with members.
