Part Time Floor Leader - Beachwood Place
Weekly: 20-29 hours
As a Floor Leader, you ll play a vital role in supporting the Store Management Team across all areas of the business. This includes driving sales, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales results, and leading training sessions. You ll work with fellow leaders to ensure the store operates effectively, creates an exceptional customer experience, maintains a motivated staff, and achieves operational excellence.
Your day-to-day will be on the shop floor, where you ll lead and inspire a team of sales associates to achieve and surpass goals. You ll foster a culture of positivity to create a productive and enjoyable work environment for both customers and staff. The Floor Leader role focuses on delivering excellent service and supporting business goals.
Responsibilities- Driving Sales: Use the Store Force dashboard results to coach the sales team, adjust the shop floor structure to meet sales goals, own results, grow the contribution of your segments to store sales, and celebrate achievements with the team.
- Customer
Experience:
Lead by example in delivering a world-class customer experience on the shop floor, including product demonstrations. Observe and listen to consultations, collaborate with your team, and strive to exceed daily sales goals. - Building the Brand: Educate customers on Lush brand values and communicate our positions on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging in-store and through community engagement.
- Product Passion: Expand product knowledge through ongoing learning and provide informed product recommendations for customer needs.
- Development: Train and coach Sales Ambassadors and peers on effective sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance, support team growth, and increase sales. Lead by example, seek feedback, and pursue opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB): Encourage open communication, listen to team members perspectives on DEIB, foster belonging, promote teamwork, and recognize diverse contributions.
- Cash Handling and Store Opening/Closing: Handle customer transactions, open/close registers, reconcile cash drawers, prepare deposits, and secure the store daily; take deposits to the bank as required at your location.
- Time and Attendance: Model attendance and punctuality, monitor breaks, review daily communications, and ensure the team is prepared for shifts.
- Visuals and Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
- Stock and Inventory: Train the team on inventory best practices and support management with inventory tasks; adjust product displays using Visual Merchandising guidelines based on sales data.
- Policies and Procedures: Support management to keep the store compliant with opening/closing standards, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety policies.
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and sales
- Cash handling and opening/closing procedures
- Supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training
- Problem-solving in day-to-day customer service operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Experience analyzing sales metrics
- Experience in skincare or cosmetics
- Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
Compensation: $16.50 USD per hour
