University Hospital Beachwood Rehabilitation Hospital is a state‑of‑the‑art 50‑bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey, offering customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

- Demonstrated knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age and clinical condition of the patient
- Performed patient care considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age, including geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Under the supervision of the R.N., assisted with assessment of all patients and reassessments as per policy, initiated appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions
- Under the supervision of the R.N., performed timely and accurate QI assessments
- Carried out the plan of care as indicated by the patient's needs and response to treatment; evaluated overall plan daily for effectiveness; updated interdisciplinary care plan accordingly based on changes in patient's condition and individual needs
- Interacted professionally with patient/family and involved them in the formation of the plan of care
- Demonstrated ability to adequately assess and reassess pain; utilized appropriate pain management techniques; educated the patient and family regarding pain management
- Other duties as assigned
- Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program
- Current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
- CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
- IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred
- Minimum six months medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
