Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Design & Technologists, Systems Engineer
Design the infrastructure that powers advanced automation.
We are seeking a driven and technically curious Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Electrical Department. In this role, you’ll design and optimize the mechanical backbone of sophisticated power distribution and automation systems — ensuring performance, safety, and reliability in demanding industrial environments.
You won’t just design components. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to engineer complete power systems that integrate seamlessly into complex automation projects. Your work will directly influence equipment performance, thermal efficiency, compliance, and long-term durability.
If you enjoy solving real engineering challenges, owning your designs, and working on projects that move from concept to installation, this is the opportunity to do it.
What You’ll DoPartner with electrical engineers to evaluate power requirements and equipment loads for automation systems
Design and specify mechanical components for power distribution systems, including switch gear, switchboards, panel boards, MCCs, and enclosures
Perform thermal analysis and heat transfer calculations to ensure safe, efficient cooling and ventilation
Develop detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar platforms
Engineer enclosure structures and support systems with consideration for environmental exposure, weight loads, and serviceability
Interface directly with vendors and manufacturers to source and validate mechanical components
Ensure compliance with UL1558, UL891, UL67, UL845, and UL508A standards
Conduct site surveys to evaluate installation feasibility and space constraints
Contribute to installation procedures and support successful system integration
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2+ years designing mechanical systems for power distribution or low-voltage equipment
Strong understanding of UL and CSA requirements for low-voltage systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, or comparable 3D modeling software
Familiarity with electrical codes and industry standards
Strong analytical, thermal, and structural problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining precision and quality
Work on complex automation systems with real-world industrial impact
High collaboration between mechanical and electrical engineering teams
Opportunity to influence system performance, efficiency, and reliability
Exposure to full project lifecycle — design through installation
Growing department with opportunity for long-term advancement
