Utility Worker

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Primarily responsible for housekeeping and various manual labor duties throughout the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.

* Ensure the warehouse dock and aisles are clean, safe, and an efficient work environment.

* Assist in loading hand stacked containers.

* Assist forklift operators in double-stacking cargo on the warehouse floor.

* Ensure the parking lot is clean and free of trash and debris.

* Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner

* Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.

* Perform any additional duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Lead.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

* Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.

* Good math, language, and reading skills

* Knowledge of proper PPE requirements

* Considerate and respectful to coworkers

* Good math, language, and reading skills

* Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day

* Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

* Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and
stand for long periods of time.

* Occasional climbing of ladders

* Use of basic warehouse equipment

* Ability to work at varying temperatures, depending upon season
