CDL Truck Driver (Houston / Baytown, TX)

Sterling Crane USA, a part of Marmon Holdings and Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a CDL Driver to safely and efficiently deliver heavy-lift equipment between locations and job sites while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, notifying the team of any damages or defects.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of cranes/rigging equipment as needed.
• Load and unload equipment to trailers in accordance with safety standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
• Adhere to Sterling Crane safety and operational standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in congested areas.
• Pass post‑offer drug and physical screenings and meet company background requirements.
• Valid A CDL with a DOT physical examination (medical card).
• Clean MVR and successful background, drug screen, and pre‑employment physical.
• Strong work ethic, ability to follow directions, and excellent communication skills.
• Team player capable of working overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to procedures.
• Prior experience with rigging or crane work is beneficial but not required.

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift daily.
• Pick up, lift, carry, and move freight or crane parts up to 65 lbs.
• Work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects or materials.
