The Employment and Human Services Associate supports Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) participants by providing individualized guidance, employment planning, and access to education, training, and support services. This role involves conducting eligibility interviews, developing Employment Plans, and referring participants to appropriate activities, including Third-Party Provider services. The representative ensures compliance with federal and state SNAP E&T requirements and plays a key role in helping participants move toward sustainable employment.
Responsibilities- Conduct intake and eligibility interviews with SNAP recipients to assess employment readiness and service needs
- Develop and maintain individualized Employment Plans aligned with SNAP E&T goals and program standards
- Provide job referrals, resume assistance, and labor market information tailored to customer skills and local demand
- Refer participants to approved training, education, or work experience programs, including those offered through Third-Party Providers
- Coordinate with Third-Party Providers to ensure activity documentation and timely submission for federal reimbursement
- Monitor ongoing participation, track milestones, and document measurable progress in accordance with SNAP E&T performance requirements
- Deliver or coordinate supportive services (e.g., transportation, childcare) to facilitate participation and reduce barriers
- Maintain accurate case records, including detailed case notes and eligibility documentation
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
