Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.17 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay depends on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, and perform duties for extended periods (as required by law).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Ability to assist customers outdoors near building and retrieve products from exterior storage areas if needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. More details are provided during the interview process.
