Description

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team! We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.36 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, with actual pay based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities of a Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate (representative list):

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandised.
• Processes sales and loan transactions per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; fosters a positive customer experience.
• Partners with staff to create a memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
