Texas Oncology is looking for a full-time Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) to join our team. This position will support the Baytown, Texas and Pasadena, Texas locations.

What is the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?The LTIP is an incentive program that typically vests over a three-year period and is tied to individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and based on position, performance, and potential for future career growth. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. LTIP awards are subject to continued employment through the award payment date and governed by the LTIP document.
Whatdoes the Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) do?
The Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) works with the Director of Nursing Services and, if applicable, the Regional Executive Director to provide nursing support for operations at existing and newly acquired practice locations. This includes consulting and advising clinicians on best practices, implementing and providing education and training programs, and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects. The role supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure clinical operations and practice are aligned with organizational objectives
- Collaborate with practice management on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other projects as assigned
- Facilitate the implementation and utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices
- Facilitate implementation of standardized best practices within the organization
- Ensure practice standards of care are consistent with community standards
- Incorporate clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards
- Staff development, assess staffing levels and patient flow in the clinical setting
- Assist with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules; coordinate staffing including vacations, sick leave, and overtime
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred
- RN license active and current with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of five (5) years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three (3) years oncology experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience
- Oncology certification preferred

There is possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal ranges.
