As a Hydro Tester Operator, you'll be responsible for conducting pressure tests on pipes to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. This role is critical in quality assurance before products are dispatched.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate hydrostatic testing equipment
- Connect pipes to high-pressure water lines using hand tools
- Monitor gauges for pressure levels and detect leaks
- Mark defective areas for repair or rejection
- Maintain accurate test records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment
- Collaborate with QA and production teams
- Experience in pipe manufacturing or hydro testing preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pressure systems
- Ability to read gauges and interpret test results
- Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and stand for long periods
