LOCATION: Baytown, Texas - USA
DEPARTMENT: INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS
PurposePerforms visual inspection of pipe end areas to identify, mark, and assist in repairing defects on seamless pipes in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all work is performed in accordance with work instructions and procedures while maintaining compliance with Tenaris Quality Standards.
Main Activities- Ensures instruments are in good condition, checking their calibration date is not expired and correctly functioning.
- Verifies light intensity and other gauges are within tolerance.
- Performs pipe external and internal visual inspection of up to 24" from the end.
- Carries out defect identification, marking, and repair.
- Identifies pipes in accordance with the production order.
- Updates information in the tracking systems.
- Supports rework preparation activities when needed.
- Performs housekeeping of own workstation and finishing line if needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice small imperfections.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, production and quality processes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in an industrial environment.
- Dependable, self‑motivated, and safety focused.
- Prior experience in manufacturing is helpful; training provided for candidates with transferable skills.
