Overview
Apply high level mechanical skills to inspect, install, repair and adjust all manufacturing equipment within the pipe mill facility. Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment within the facility. Apply advanced knowledge in fluid power and pneumatic equipment including simple to complex hydraulic systems with some servo components, plant utilities such as high-volume water pumps and air compressors. Analytically troubleshoot and resolve mechanical malfunctions back to OEM Specifications.
Routinely check the performance of mechanical equipment. Properly maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and processing of Work Orders. Attend and participate in Line-Out meetings to communicate daily activities between incoming and outgoing Maintenance shift crews. Make necessary equipment repairs during the shift to maintain equipment availability for production. Complete Maintenance shift reports and corresponding paperwork. Participate in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as it pertains to equipment reliability and availability.
Perform required Daily;
Weekly, Quarterly and Annual check sheets as established by the Maintenance Department and O.E.M. suppliers.

Experience and activities include:
- Fluid power and pneumatic equipment and systems including hydraulic systems (with servo components).
- Interpreting drawings and schematics on pneumatic, mechanical and fluid power systems.
- Understanding of electrical circuits relating to mechanical equipment and sequencing of mechanical components.
- Industrial manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Pipe stretching machine lubrication and vibration system.
- Predictive maintenance with greasing thermal controlling systems. Assembling and maintaining differential gear sets for stretching equipment.
- Installation of pipe machine groups and knowledge of installation devices including laser meters, theodolites and levels.
- Ability to lift, pull and push materials and product up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and walking considerable distances.
