The position requires advanced skills to inspect, install, repair, adjust, construct, modify, calibrate, program, and wire all electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in the plant or assigned area. It also requires the ability to assist in designing and servicing all types of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, electro‑mechanical, radio‑controlled equipment, and any type of integrating, indicating or graphic electrical, electronic or mechanical instruments and control equipment.

This role helps ensure that all equipment performs to safety and OEM specifications.

Working Conditions:

The working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats.

Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • An electrical certification or technical degree with at least three years of experience in Industrial electrical maintenance & repair.
  • Ability to read operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals, and electrical schematic drawings. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Ability to run conduit, cable tray, wiring and perform terminations.
  • Above average knowledge of general manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and preferably exposure to PLC Development software, Electrical Design software, Internet software, Order processing systems, and Project Management software.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with PLC’s, VFD’s and communication systems. Understanding of ladder logic and advanced troubleshooting skills with equipment software language. Preferred experience with Allen‑Bradley and Siemens equipment.
  • Flexible or rotating schedule, may require overtime.
  • Read, write and speak English clearly and effectively.
  • Spanish as a second language beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a good working relationship with operating personnel to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Electrical maintenance of machinery and equipment within the facility.
  • Analytically troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions against OEM specifications.
  • Routinely check the performance of electrical equipment and perform assigned PMs.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and process work orders.
  • Follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
  • Operate within SOPs and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Activities
  • Attend and participate in Line‑Out meetings to communicate daily activities between incoming and outgoing maintenance shift crews.
  • Make necessary equipment repairs during the shift to maintain equipment availability for production.
  • Complete maintenance shift reports and corresponding paperwork.
  • Participate in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers related to equipment reliability and availability.
  • Perform required daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual check sheets as established by the Maintenance Department and OEM suppliers.
  • Prepare reports, forms, records, and related paperwork for assigned area.
  • This position may require operating a forklift, overhead crane, manlift, and/or carry deck.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep the work area free of debris.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Authority and Obligation

This position has the authority to stop an operation if deemed necessary for imminent safety or possible equipment damage. However, the employee must notify the Operations Supervisor on duty and follow the established notification procedure if the interruption is for an extended period.
