This position is responsible for administering training programs targeted at driver and mechanic safety procedures and accident/incident protection and prevention.
Essential Functions
* Monitor and train driver trainers who conduct training of new drivers
* Travel to terminals to conduct safety training meetings
* Travel to site of vehicular, passenger and employee accidents/incidents to assist with investigation and determination of cause and preventability
* Represent Company regarding safety, security and insurance legal matters
* Observe employees engaged in their daily work activities, identify areas of concern and determine appropriate action to correct behavior
* Conduct random safety and security audits of assigned facilities
* Ensure compliance and provide guidance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements and regulations
* Serve as local company contact for the DOT and OSHA
