Job Summary
Oversight of outbound operations – picking, packing, consolidating, prepping, and shipping – while driving productivity improvements and maintaining high employee proficiency.

• Manage day‑to‑day decisions regarding input, movement, process, and output of operations to ensure quality, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
• Supervise up to 30 employees (including weekend shipping leaders) to achieve high performance standards and coach, train, and develop staff.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics; identify and resolve operating issues, including corrective actions and progressive discipline.
• Communicate clearly with all teams about productivity, policies, and procedures.
• Engage in "MBWA" (managing by walking around) and serve as a role model for company culture.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels and coordinate shift‑change bids as needed.
• Promote safety by interacting regularly with employees and enforcing regulations.
• Lead monthly manager meetings to discuss metrics, improvements, employee relations, and quarterly initiatives.
• Delegate quarterly initiatives and monitor progress to meet goals.
• Work directly in each department at least once a month to maintain operations knowledge.
• Analyze opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, damage mitigation, and process efficiency.
• Serve as backup when a department line manager is absent.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Work while standing/walking up to 12 hours/day.
• Use speech, vision, and hearing effectively.
• Use hands for grasping/manipulating.
• Bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach regularly.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 75 lbs.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant operations management experience.
• 2‑3 years of outbound management preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex concepts simply.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Adaptability to changing business needs; diplomatic conflict resolution.
• Customer‑service orientation with a desire to exceed expectations.

Employees regularly exposed to mechanical parts, vehicles, varying temperature conditions, dust, fumes, and gases. Noise is usually moderate. The area is normal and average in foot traffic.
