Location:
Baytown Hospital.
Director Nursing is responsible for the 24/7 management of assigned nursing units and departments. The position ensures high‑quality nursing care, strategic and operational planning, and compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee staff activities, ensuring quality, productivity, and functional excellence.
- Drive employee engagement, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
- Plan, organize, lead, and evaluate nursing services within the specialty area.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Collaborate with medical staff to maintain regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Lead change initiatives and promote continuous quality improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;
Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. If no current Master’s, must be obtained within two years. - Minimum three years in a clinical setting, with at least two years in people management.
- Registered Nurse license issued by Texas; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days of hire.
- Magnet ANCC Recognized Leadership Certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
- Maintains a positive, supportive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Handles confidential information with discretion. >
- Directs and implements strategic projects at a high level.
- Oversees management of staff, including selection, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Maintains high standards of patient and staff satisfaction.
- Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Provides financial oversight, including budget development and cost analysis.
- Leads quality improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Business professional:
