Job Summary
Assist in coordinating and managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, including profiling, transportation, and proper documentation. Support compliance with environmental regulations and help ensure safe, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible waste management.
Job Description
- Assist in the coordination and management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal activities
- Support waste characterization, profiling, and transportation to approved disposal facilities
- Help prepare and maintain waste manifests and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Assist with lab pack services, field sampling, and identification of unknown waste
- Support asbestos abatement, mold remediation, and wastewater disposal/treatment projects
- Coordinate recycling alternatives and environmentally acceptable disposal solutions
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure proper documentation and service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting for waste management operations
- Knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling procedures
- Understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to coordinate logistics and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail for proper labeling, manifesting, and documentation
- Basic laboratory or field sampling skills (preferred)
- Strong communication skills for client and team interaction
- Familiarity with environmental services such as recycling, mold remediation, or asbestos handling (a plus)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check
- Work Hours:
Mon to Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- $19.00 - $26.00/hr actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset and/or location
