Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Field Supervisor for our Wastewater Treatment team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and coordinating field operations and a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes. Responsibilities include supervising plant operations, directing the operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant and lift stations to meet TCEQ and EPA requirements. Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and direct the operation and maintenance of the plant to meet state and EPA requirements.
- Maintain records of all plant operations, order parts, and verify invoices.
- Supervise plant operations, provide training to operators and maintenance personnel, and conduct safety training.
- Oversee major repairs and equipment replacements, assign work duties, and procure supplies.
- Review construction plans to ensure operational efficiency.
- Communicate plant activities with supervisors and office personnel.
- Interpret lab data and work reports to make decisions concerning plant operations.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Plan, organize, and direct operation and maintenance of the plant to meet state and EPA requirements, maintain records, and order parts.
- Plan, organize, and direct operation and maintenance of Baytown lift stations, order parts, and verify invoices.
- Coordinate all activities and maintain records of the State Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Permit and the EPA’s Risk Management Plan Permit.
- Perform personnel related duties including training, coaching, and monthly safety training.
- Communicate plant activities with supervisors and office personnel.
- Interpret lab data and work reports to make decisions concerning plant operations.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED), plus specialized technical courses.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver’s license within 90 days).
- Class "B" Wastewater Treatment Certification from TCEQ.
- Three years experience in a paraprofessional related role.
- Demonstrated prior supervisory experience.
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or institution in a related field.
- Class "A" Wastewater Treatment Certification from TCEQ.
Knowledge of wastewater facility operation, EPA and TCEQ permit regulations, and activated sludge processes. Ability to interpret lab data, give written and oral instructions, prepare reports, read blueprints, and use mathematics, management techniques, lab procedures, and electricity. Computer literacy in Word and Excel is required. Ability to work with co‑workers and the public.
