The Systems Specialist will primarily be responsible for the configuration, administration, and lifecycle planning for the PCT production systems. Activities include troubleshooting, support, and development.

• Local DCS/SIS/PLC systems administration.
• Standardized DCS configuration.
• Key contact for third party systems maintenance contractors (Puffer, HIMA).
• Identify, develop and implement systems optimization opportunities within the PCT layer for PCT systems (especially in the areas of alarm management of operations efficiency).
• Sound knowledge of PCT system(s) (DCS, HIMA, Local PLC, PI and all related interfaces, etc.).
• Support strategic and capital projects involving PCT systems.
• Sound knowledge of Covestro's Automation standards application.
• Take a lead role in ensuring OT Security practices are followed.
• Work closely together with production, OT and PCT engineers to optimize system architecture and lifecycle management.
• Support of production and PCT for local PCT systems. Systems include DCS Systems, HIMA, Local PLC, PI and all related interfaces, etc.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering or related field and at least 6 years of experience with production control systems OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of experience with production control systems.
• The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in ICA (Instrumentation, Control, Automation) Engineering or related fields.
• Thorough understanding of PCT concepts / practices and good understanding of maintenance and project management.
• Good knowledge of Engineering tools and software - SAP, Meridium.
