The ESL Instructor will be responsible for the instruction of the Intro to Speaking English course for adult learners. This role focuses on developing practical conversational skills that enable adult learner to navigate everyday situations with confidence and clarity.

* Design and deliver engaging, task-based lessons aligned with specific learning outcomes.

* Guide students through progressive speaking activities that build toward key core competencies:

* Introducing themselves and others with personal details

* Maintaining multi-turn conversations about familiar topics

* Ordering food using polite and appropriate restaurant language

* Asking for and understanding directions

* Shopping for appropriate quantity expressions

* Completing basic employment forms accurately

* Implement real-world communication strategies through role-plays, simulations, and authentic scenarios.

* Provide targeted feedback on accuracy, fluency, and appropriateness while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing a new language.

* Assess student progress regularly using informal observation and structured performance-based tasks to measure achievement against course benchmarks.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor's (or higher) degree and possess a ESL certification

* Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching English to adult non-native speakers with demonstrated expertise in teaching speaking skills at the beginner to low-intermediate level.

* Experience with task-based language teaching and authentic assessment methods preferred.

* Strong ability to scaffold learning experiences that move students from controlled practice to spontaneous communication.

* Expertise in designing realistic role-plays and simulations that reflect real-life situations.

* Develop clear assessment rubrics that measure specific accuracy targets.

* Ability to deliver constructive feedback that balances correction with encouragement.

* Cultural sensitivity and experience working with multilingual adult learners.

* Patience and adaptability to accommodate varied learning styles and proficiency levels.

* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
