Branch Administrator (Houston/Baytown, TX)
Sterling Crane LLC, a part of Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a seasoned Branch Administrator to support accounting and administrative tasks at our Baytown yard. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely invoice processing, payroll, and financial operations for a leading heavy lift industry provider.
- Ensure timely and accurate creation and distribution of invoices upon project or service completion to the customer.
- Accurately process all hourly timesheets for payroll.
- Track and enter hourly expenses for payment.
- Process all supplier accounts in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Finance team for collections of outstanding invoices.
- Facilitate the process of obtaining all signed credit applications and ensure they are sent to the Credit Manager for approval.
- Generate customer credit notes directed by the operation manager and submit for approvals.
- Obtain and disseminate new vendor information for account creation as needed.
- Complete the full life cycle of Purchase Orders from creation to closure in accordance with procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a multi-tasking, high pace office environment with broad accounting skills.
- High attention to detail to detect discrepancies.
- Successfully pass post‑offer drug screen and meet company background requirements.
- Proven ability to prioritize work and communicate effectively across departments with discretion and professional business tact.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant software. Experience with ERP systems, FCC, or other quote‑to‑cash systems preferred.
- Hourly position, Mon‑Fri, 8 am‑5 pm. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Initially full‑time in‑office presence is required until fully trained; the role may transition to a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days in‑office.
- Manual dexterity, auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
Hourly Wage CO and MT $28 - $30 | DOE
