Lead a Large Fleet. Drive Change. Build a High-Performance Team.
We’re hiring a Transportation Manager to lead one of the largest fleets in the division. This role is ideal for a strong people leader who can command respect, hold leaders accountable, manage a vocal driver workforce, and drive operational excellence.
This position prioritizes leadership, ownership, communication, and execution. Transportation expertise is important — but the ability to lead, influence, and drive results matters most.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a large team of drivers and supervisors, including coaching and performance management.
- Command respect and maintain credibility with a vocal and high-demand driver population.
- Hold supervisors accountable to performance, safety, and service standards.
- Drive behavior change and continuous improvement without losing trust or engagement.
- Assess fleet capacity, staffing levels, and daily delivery feasibility.
- Identify risks that could impact deliveries and proactively resolve them.
- Make real-time operational decisions, including rerouting and service recovery.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with frontline teams, supervisors, and senior leaders.
- Manage associate relations, difficult conversations, and performance issues fairly and professionally.
- Promote a strong safety culture and accountability across the operation.
- Develop and communicate a strategic plan to elevate fleet performance to world-class standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Strengths:
- Transportation or fleet operations experience (in a leadership capacity).
- Proven experience leading large frontline teams (drivers, operations, warehouse, logistics, or similar).
- Strong leadership presence — able to command respect without being reactive or passive.
- Experience holding leaders accountable and coaching underperformance.
- Ability to drive change, raise standards, and influence behavior.
- Strong operational judgment and decision-making under pressure.
- Clear, confident communication and executive presence.
- Comfort managing conflict, associate relations, and tough conversations.
- Ownership mindset — takes responsibility and drives outcomes.
STRONG PLUS:
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- Experience leading large, high-volume fleets (50+).
