Overview
Schedule and coordinate workflow for Centerline Atlantic (CLA) vessels and other Gulf/East Coast operational areas. Schedule and coordinate flow of work based on customer orders, establish priorities and availability of personnel, equipment, and resources. Select and schedule marine personnel for tugs and barges. Maintain records, process paperwork to ensure proper billing for services to customers. Maintain communications with vessel Captains and barge PICs regarding change of orders via computer or cell communications.
Assist in developing and monitor procedures and programs to track company and crew activities. Dispatch personnel in response to incidents and emergency requests from vessels.
- Dispatch CLA and East Coast coastal vessels Saturday, Sunday, and rotating weekday(s) from 0600 to 1900.
- Regularly meet with terminals, agents, and inspection companies to build relationship and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Implement government schedules as specified.
- Provide vessel position and status reports daily.
- Assist in management of crew including hours, timecards, Dispatch payroll approvals, and logistics for crew changes.
- Sourcing fleeting for CLL equipment.
- Maintain streamlines communication with the Contracting Officer Representative.
- Track, monitor, and report on daily operations.
- Equal distribution of work among marine personnel.
- Accuracy of prepared paperwork.
- Employee feedback on scheduling courtesy and communications.
- Adherence and understanding of CLL operating policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Perform in CLL Incident Command System as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of the local (East & Gulf Coasts and Harbors) operating area.
- Four (4) year college education in Maritime or related studies; or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible fleet management in the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of local East Coast terminal requirements and guidelines.
- Extensive knowledge of tugboat and oil transportation industry.
- Knowledge of tug and barge maintenance systems and equipment.
- USCG license and Tankerman PIC endorsement preferred.

- Previous experience working directly with government agencies.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive materials and communications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no guidance.
- Must be capable of calculating barge load and discharge plans.
- Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to interface with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Valid TWIC or obtain upon hire.
- Required to sit for long periods of time.
- Infrequent light physical effort required.
- Work with computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones.
- Weekends, holidays, and rotating weekday(s), 0600 to 1900. Weekends required every week.
