Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1148)

Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $18.00 USD per hour

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
• Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
• Understand and show guests how to use features within the Target App including Wallet
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
• Handle returns and follow register prompts; partner with leaders as needed to resolve guest needs while following Target’s policies
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal
• Stock supplies during store hours while being available for the guest
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders, and DU returns with compliance to applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key
• You are open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)
• From the training: communicating effectively, welcoming and helpful attitude, attention to detail, willingness to educate guests, and ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners
• Ability to work independently or with a team and stay composed in a fast-paced environment
• Capability to lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds and up to 44 pounds occasionally
