Maintenance Technician

Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Maintenance Technician for our location in Bay Minette, AL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will use your knowledge to provide electrical maintenance and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems in our facility. The use of blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronics test equipment will be used to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.

What you'll do:

* Troubleshoot breakdowns on production equipment and mechanical components

* Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components, including basic pneumatics and hydraulics

* Read schematics - pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical

* Perform preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components

* Move/install equipment

* Perform high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays)

* Maintain and complete all required records

* Follow all safety rules and practices

* Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

* Minimum of 4 years of experience

* Basic troubleshooting/3 Phase/equipment up to 600v

* The ability to wire electrical panels

* The ability to install equipment

* The ability to maintain good attendance

* Experience with rebuilding and aligning bearings and housings

* Experience installing, mounting and aligning electric motors
