Position Summary
General Maintenance Technician gnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment supporting Walmart stores. Develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs within the timeframe, and conduct training for Store Associates on care and cleaning of equipment.
Minimum Qualifications- 5 years’ experience in maintenance.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a MVR report.
- 1 year of experience using intermediate level Word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Vocational or Technical certification and at least 5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, or material handling equipment (or related trade) OR 7 years of experience in the same fields.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). (Optional)
Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
- Previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
- Understanding of Customer Service importance and clear, respectful communication.
- Personal accountability and effective time management.
- Adaptability to changing and competing demands using solid judgment to prioritize.

The hourly wage range is $21.00 – $40.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
