Shift Stores Clerk - Central Services

The Novelis Bay Minette, AL team is seeking a Stores Clerk. This position is responsible for the integrity of data entered into the SAP ERP System. The quality of work in this position is critical as the data flows into the accounting systems and ultimately vendors are paid based on the candidate’s activity. This person must be able to understand and follow the procedures identified as necessary for accurate material and data handling and comply with Bay Minette Novelis policies and procedures.

• Responsible for the issuing, verification, receiving, delivery of goods and entering of Stores/Receiving information in SAP as required
• Responsible for monitoring and updating daily, rebuild items in SAP
• Make the physical counts of receipts and complete proper transactions
• Responsible for disbursement of Stores inventory through the Stores data-base computer system (SAP)
• Duties include unloading, verifying, receiving, delivery of items for both the Stores Inventory and for direct charge items to various areas throughout the plant, including the mills as well as the offices
• Perform cycle counts per inventory control procedures, and the coordination and reconciliation of the Stores Inventory with other departments
• Required to perform data inputting and invoice reconciliation in the BP Open System which includes scanning of all packing slips and pertinent information and indexing for on-line receipts
• Requires working varying shifts per business needs, this schedule may change pending department needs and business conditions

• HS Diploma/GED
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, databases,
• Ability to work with internal customers
• Ability to work effectively with large volumes of inventory data

• SAP Inventory Management Experience
• Experience in warehousing and receiving

• Near constant standing with frequent walking and occasional sitting
• Occasional below waist level work, climbing, balancing, carrying, reaching over 15” away from the body, reaching above shoulder, fine motor skills, use of forceful motion, and lifting up to 35 lbs
• Occasional push/pull, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able and willing to work at heights
