Position type: Temp/contract (possible temp-hire)
Work location: Midland, MI
Work hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Range: $32.00/hr. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances.
- Utilize established methods, procedures, and laboratory equipment to perform analytical testing.
- Prepare compounds, reagents, and solutions.
- Execute analytical methods as instructed and/or according to designed protocols.
- Perform testing using a variety of technologies, including ICP, ICPMS, DSC, TGA, FTIR, and UV.
- Execute projects in support of client needs, which may include:
- Characterization
- Product analysis and product development
- Validation
- Failure analysis and problem solving
- Impurity identification
- Extractable and leachable studies
- Structural characterization
- Follow all safety requirements, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper labeling of samples.
- Develop and write technical reports of testing results.
- Generate client reports and supporting laboratory documentation in compliance with company SOPs and applicable regulations, including US FDA cGMP/GLP, EPA GLP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all company SOPs and revise/modify SOPs when directed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues through written and oral presentations.
- Maintain a client-focused approach by delivering projects in a timely manner with minimal errors.
- Draw and defend conclusions based upon analytical data.
- Complete assigned tasks on time and with minimal errors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Associate degree with 7+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 0–2 years of experience in Chemistry
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques demonstrated through a combination of academic and/or industry performance

Pay Details: $32.00 per hour
