Location:

Bay City, Michigan. The assignment offers 36 guaranteed hours per week with a competitive weekly pay range of $1,805 to $1,942.

Start date:

02/23/2026. You’ll learn to navigate varying hospital workflows, new electronic medical record systems, and interdisciplinary rounds that strengthen leadership abilities while prioritizing patient safety. If you extend, there are pathways for increased responsibilities and continued compensation growth as you demonstrate expertise in PACU care and post-anesthesia pathways. The duration is measured in weeks, with opportunities to tailor the pace and scope of your experience to align with personal and professional goals.

• Monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia and assess airway patency, breathing, and circulation.
• Titrate analgesia and antiemetics; manage IV lines and monitor for complications such as respiratory depression or hemodynamic instability.
• Collaborate with OR staff, anesthesia providers, and postoperative care teams to ensure smooth, timely transitions to the floor or discharge.
• Document findings accurately, participate in handoffs, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives focused on pain management, patient safety, and recovery efficiency.
• Support professional growth through PACU certification, precepting new nurses, assuming lead or charge responsibilities, and ongoing education aligned with career goals.
