Job Details:
• 2 years PACU experience required
• On call nights and weekends (rotation with current staff)
• Weekend coverage on call only, not scheduled
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Michigan nursing license required
• Continuously monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature) and patient's level of consciousness during anesthesia recovery
• Ensure patent airway and adequate respiratory function, intervening quickly for obstructions or respiratory distress
• Administer medications including painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, and fluids for post-operative symptom management
• Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications and check dressings
• Perform physical assessments and recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery
• Initiate appropriate emergency interventions when necessary
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare team members regarding patient condition and care plans
