Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial instrumentation and control systems such as sensors, transmitters, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and other related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Diagnose electrical and instrumentation problems using schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement upgrades, modifications, and new installations to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Associate degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation principles, and control loops.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and other industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, ISA, ANSI, API).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
