Assignment Details
• Reason for coverage is a recruitment gap
• Start January 2026 with multiple open shifts through February
• Strictly onsite emergency department coverage with no call
• Shifts include and
• Daily ED volume approximately 80 patients; physicians average 1.8 patients per hour
• APP coverage for 12 hours plus full nursing, tech, radiology, and lab support
• EMR system is Cerner
• Local providers only
Clinical Details
• Full-scope emergency medicine for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Includes newborn resuscitation, management of acute medical issues, and orthopedic care for minor fractures
• Procedures include suturing, incision and drainage, ventilation and airway management, central and arterial line placement, EKG interpretation, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
• Expected to manage ED presentations without subspecialty delays
• No admissions responsibilities outside typical ED workflow
Requirements
• Board certification required; BE not accepted
• IM or FM accepted with minimum two years of recent ED experience
• Active Michigan license required at name clear; IMLC not accepted
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Provider must be fully local and have a clean background
• Exact availability must be included at name clear
• Employee health requirements must be met, including vaccinations and titers
