Overview
Claverham Day Nursery in Battle, East Sussex, requires a part-time qualified Nursery Assistant to join our friendly team. The role is part-time with salary pro rata. The closing date is 27 February 2026.
Responsibilities- Be an enthusiastic and excellent Early Years practitioner, engaging children through a range of play-based activities to support each child’s physical, intellectual and emotional needs.
- Work with the supervisor to create an exciting and purposeful learning environment.
- Act as a key worker, forming a close, caring relationship with allocated children and communicating with their parents and carers.
- Be flexible and able to work closely with other EYFS team members.
- Be keen to engage in continuing professional development.
- A supportive and friendly working environment.
- Opportunities for training and development.
- A nursery that is forward thinking and keen to develop best practice in the care and education of nursery aged children.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or a relevant equivalent qualification. The successful candidate will be an energetic Early Years practitioner who can engage children through play-based activities that support development. Candidates should be able to work under supervision to maintain a safe, stimulating environment and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
