Technician. The Engine Line Technician, with limited supervision, assists with inspecting, troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft engines, systems and components, on a variety of engines, using Personal Protective Equipment, in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer’s specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications. This role prepares and completes appropriate documentation and training logs in a timely manner;
and may perform as a Qualified Inspector (QI). The position is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post. This opportunity is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. Work Week Start:

Work Start Time: 6:00 AM;
Work End Time: 2:30 PM.
- With limited supervision, assist in high quality inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining of aircraft engines, systems and components on a variety of aircraft engines using proper tooling in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner. Accurately orders required parts as needed.
- With limited supervision, prepare various documents required by Company policy and FAA regulations. Demonstrates proficiency of Duncan Aviation work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives (AD), and compliance statements.
- Locates and uses appropriate technical data, follows verbal instructions and accepts directions from other shop personnel when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks. May provide OJT to less experienced technicians.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Licenses/Certificates:
Airframe & Powerplant Certificate preferred;
Mobile and Overhead Crane Certification;
Fork Lift qualified;
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; tool inventory per department tool list required;
Able to obtain QI designation as company needs. - Attendance:
Regularly scheduled attendance required; overnight and short notice travel required - Physical:
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting - Environmental:
Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments
- Engine Line Technician I:
High School graduate or equivalent required;
Two years airframe/engine maintenance experience - Engine Line Technician II:
High School graduate or equivalent required;
Two Years Airframe/engine Maintenance Experience Required - Engine Line Technician III:
High School graduate or equivalent required;
Five Years Airframe/engine Maintenance Experience Required
