Quality Technician - Battle Creek Area

Salary Range: $41,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Conduct various tests on materials and products using precision measuring equipment and laboratory instruments.
• Document inspection and test results, create quality reports, and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiate corrective actions, and support root cause analysis.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment and gauges.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T preferred).
• Experience performing quality inspections and documenting results in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control principles (e.g., SPC).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Yellow Belt certification preferred).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Knowledge of specific industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949).
