Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a 15-bed LDRP unit, requiring at least 2 years of OB experience and multiple certifications including NRP and C-EFM.

Job Details

• 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms in a hospital setting,

• Patient care spans antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care,

• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios,

• Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine,

• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating to other areas of the house as a sitter when needed, and to an affiliated campus approximately 27 miles away when census allows,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• EMR:
Epic,

Job Requirements

• Active MI RN license required,

• Minimum 2 years of OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience required,

• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM,

• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced,

OR circulating and FHM triage,

• Preferred skill: OR scrub,

Additional Information

• RNs work across all areas of the LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating and scrubbing, newborn care, and couplet care,

• Training provided to complete newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine,

• Scrubs are provided by the facility,

• No time off (RTO) approved during the first two weeks of the contract
