American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a hospital in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and availability to float to other units.

• Work on a 37-bed Medical/Surgical/Oncology unit (C5) within an inpatient hospital setting
• Patient population includes general medical diagnoses as well as GI, urological, gynecological, orthopedic/neurovascular, and cardiopulmonary cases
• Surgical specialties include GI procedures, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 36- or 48-hour work weeks available
• Patient ratios are 1:5–6 on nights; ratios may flex up to 1:8, with LPN support provided in those instances
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically approximately once per week depending on unit needs
• Block scheduling is not available at this time

• Active Michigan RN license required; pending license acceptable with ETA provided
• Current BLS certification (AHA); pending certification accepted with confirmation of willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred
• Must be available for the full first two weeks of the assignment
• Must be comfortable working alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Care responsibilities span a broad range of medical and surgical patient types across specialties
• Unit is staffed with a collaborative mix of RNs, LPNs, and Techs across Med/Surg floors
