This is a general posting for RN positions in the Pre‑Op, Post‑Op, PACU department at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Once you apply, a Talent Acquisition Specialist will connect with you within 48 hours to discuss your areas of interest and preferred hours. Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan
- BLS certification required by completion of core orientation
- Critical care or ALS and other certifications may be required for some RNs, unit specific
- Under general supervision, manage the care delivery for patients throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge.
- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation, and evaluation; coordinate care provided by other professionals.
- Delegate selected acts, tasks or functions that fall within the scope of professional nursing practice and the abilities of patient care assistants and universal service assistants.
- Document and communicate during each tour of duty the patient’s response to care provided, consumption of resources and anticipated needs.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from various computer systems and equipment to set an appropriate plan of action.
- Continuously communicate verbally, in writing and electronically.
- Perform mental/visual fatigue tasks requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods; operate personal computer or CRT 40–70 % of the time.
- Regularly lift bulky or moderately heavy weights (up to 50 pounds); occasionally assist with heavier tasks or expend effort in pushing, pulling or otherwise handling material, equipment and other objects.
